Bright, colorful Monster Cookies packed with oatmeal, peanut butter, sprinkles, and crunchy M&Ms—perfect for celebrating the 4th of July!

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup red, white, and blue M&Ms
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the peanut butter, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; add to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Stir in the oats, chocolate chips, and half of the M&Ms.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Press the remaining M&Ms into the tops of the cookie dough balls.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden, then let cool before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve on a decorative rack or platter for festive occasions. These cookies can also be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
