Description

Delightfully flaky croissants filled with savory ham and gooey cheese, baked to golden perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Croissant Dough
  • 8 slices Deli Ham
  • 1 ½ cups Gruyère Cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Thyme (optional)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Gently unroll your croissant dough on a clean, lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the dough into triangles, aiming for a width of about 3-4 inches at the base.
  4. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard along the base of each triangle.
  5. Layer a slice of ham and a sprinkle of Gruyère cheese on top of the mustard.
  6. Starting from the base, roll the dough over the filling, tucking the sides to create a crescent shape.
  7. Place each rolled croissant seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Whisk the egg and brush it over each croissant for a golden-brown finish.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before enjoying.

Notes

Serve with a side salad, dipping sauces, or garnished with fresh herbs for enhanced flavor.
