- 1 lb Chicken Breast, diced
- 4 cups Broccoli florets
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- ¼ cup Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Honey (or maple syrup)
- ¼ tsp Crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 cups Rice or Quinoa, cooked
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
- 2 Green Onions, sliced
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients. Dice the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and chop your broccoli into florets.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and broccoli florets to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 3-5 minutes until the broccoli is tender.
- Mix together the soy sauce, honey, and red pepper flakes in a bowl, then pour over the chicken and broccoli, stirring until well coated.
- Cook your rice or quinoa according to package instructions. Serve it as a base in bowls.
- Top your rice with the chicken and broccoli mixture. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Feel free to customize this recipe by using turkey, tofu, or chickpeas instead of chicken for a different protein source.
