• 8 oz uncooked egg noodles (Amish-style preferred)
• 6 tbsp unsalted butter
• 6 slices bacon, chopped
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1½–2 lbs green cabbage, chopped
• Salt & black pepper, to taste
Boil noodles in salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add bacon and onion, cooking until onion softens and bacon is nearly crispy.
Lower heat, add garlic, and stir for 30 seconds.
Stir in cabbage and cook until tender, stirring often.
Add cooked noodles and toss to combine.
Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
