Description

Turn a fall classic into a fun, hands-on treat with a Caramel Apple Toppings Bar. Crisp apples dipped in warm, gooey caramel become the perfect base for endless sweet creations. Set up a spread of toppings—nuts, candies, cookies, sprinkles—and let everyone customize their own apple masterpiece. Great for parties, family nights, or Halloween gatherings, this is as much an activity as it is a dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

810 medium apples (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji work best)

1 (14 oz) bag soft caramel candies, unwrapped

2 tbsp heavy cream

Wooden sticks or skewers

Toppings Ideas:

Chopped peanuts, almonds, or pecans

Mini chocolate chips

Sprinkles

Crushed cookies (Oreos, graham crackers)

Mini marshmallows

Candy corn

Crushed pretzels

Shredded coconut

Instructions

Wash and dry apples thoroughly. Insert a wooden stick into the top of each apple.

In a saucepan, melt caramels with heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Dip each apple into the caramel, turning to coat evenly.

Let excess drip off, then place apples on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

While caramel is still soft, roll apples in desired toppings or sprinkle them over the top.

Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes until set.
