Description
A creamy, crunchy, and spicy dip made with cream cheese, bacon, and chili flakes, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 4 strips of bacon
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
- 1/4 cup green onions (scallions), chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 7-10 minutes.
- Once crispy, transfer bacon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease and cool.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and lemon juice; blend until smooth.
- Chop the cooled bacon into small pieces.
- Add chopped bacon, green onions, chili flakes, salt, and pepper to the bowl; fold gently until combined.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Transfer to an airtight container and chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute cream cheese with Greek yogurt. This spread pairs wonderfully with crackers, crostini, and fresh veggies.
