Description
Sweet, salty, smoky, and buttery — these “Crack” Green Beans are the kind of side dish that disappears fast. This doubled version feeds a crowd and packs even more flavor with a few extra kicks. It’s southern-style comfort with a sticky, bacon-loaded glaze you’ll want to drizzle on everything.
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and any optional flavor twists (paprika, vinegar, mustard, etc.).
Stir until smooth and syrupy, about 2–3 minutes.
In a large baking dish, combine green beans and chopped cooked bacon.
Pour the warm glaze over the beans and bacon, and toss gently to coat.
Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and slightly caramelized.
Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with toasted pecans or more bacon if desired.
