Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • Cooking Spray
  • 1/2 cup Sugar for coating
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon for coating

Instructions

  1. Prepare your dough: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the water, butter, and sugar. Stir until the mixture bubbles and the butter melts. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Add flour and egg: Stir in the flour until fully combined. Mix in the egg until smooth.
  3. Add vanilla and cinnamon: Stir in the vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon until no flour pockets remain.
  4. Shape your churro bites: Use a piping bag fitted with a star tip to pipe small star-shaped pieces onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Air fry those bites: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray. Place churro bites in a single layer and air fry for 8-10 minutes.
  6. Coat in cinnamon sugar: Once done, let them cool and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture until coated.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can substitute water with milk. Experiment with flavored extracts and toppings to personalize your churro bites!
