Ingredients
1 lb boneless chicken thighs or tenders, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt & pepper to taste
Oil for frying
6–8 waffle cones (store-bought or homemade)
Maple-Hot Sauce Drizzle:
¼ cup maple syrup
2 tbsp hot sauce (like Frank’s or Crystal)
1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Dredge chicken in the flour mix, then fry until crispy and golden (about 5–6 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
In a small pan, melt butter with maple syrup and hot sauce. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Fill each cone with chicken, drizzle with sauce, and serve warm.
