Whether you’re hosting brunch, hitting a springtime party, or serving up smiles from a food truck, these cones deliver serious flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb boneless chicken thighs or tenders, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup flour

½ cup cornstarch

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp garlic powder

Salt & pepper to taste

Oil for frying

68 waffle cones (store-bought or homemade)

Maple-Hot Sauce Drizzle:

¼ cup maple syrup

2 tbsp hot sauce (like Frank’s or Crystal)

1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Dredge chicken in the flour mix, then fry until crispy and golden (about 5–6 minutes). Drain on paper towels.

In a small pan, melt butter with maple syrup and hot sauce. Simmer for 1–2 minutes.

Fill each cone with chicken, drizzle with sauce, and serve warm.
