Description

A comforting and utterly delicious dish featuring crispy Parmesan chicken coated in a rich garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup flour
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken by patting it dry and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Create your breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet and cook the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Make the garlic sauce in the same skillet by sautéing minced garlic and adding chicken broth; let simmer for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve the chicken on a plate drizzled with the garlic sauce and garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute butter with olive oil or vegan butter. To make it dairy-free, use plant-based Parmesan.
