Comforting and flavorful Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches filled with tender beef and topped with melted cheese, served with rich au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
- Beef Chuck Roast (3-4 lbs)
- Beef Broth (4 cups)
- Onion (1 large, sliced)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Worcestershire Sauce (1/4 cup)
- Dried Thyme (1 tsp)
- Black Pepper (1 tsp)
- Baguettes (4-6)
- Provolone Cheese (8 slices)
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Slice the onion and mince the garlic.
- Sear the beef: Heat oil in a skillet, season beef, and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Layer in the crockpot: Place seared roast in the crockpot, scatter onions and garlic.
- Add the flavor makers: Pour in broth and Worcestershire sauce, sprinkle thyme and pepper.
- Set your crockpot: Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- Shred the beef: Remove beef, shred with forks, and return to au jus if desired.
- Prep the baguettes: Split open and load with shredded beef.
- Melt the cheese: Top sandwiches with cheese and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve with au jus: Ladle au jus into bowls for dipping, serve warm with parsley garnish.

Optional: Add sliced jalapeños or roasted peppers for a spicy kick.
