Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli, chopped
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and chop fresh broccoli into bite-sized pieces. Steam broccoli for about 5 minutes until slightly tender.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese into the sauce.
  5. Add the chopped broccoli to the cheese sauce and mix well until every piece is coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 casserole dish and spread evenly.
  7. Top with remaining cup of cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
