Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound shrimp
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant and golden, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer, cooking undisturbed for 2-3 minutes until pink, then flip and cook for another minute or two until fully opaque.
- Lower the heat to medium-low, pour in the heavy cream while gently stirring, and let it bubble for a minute.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust thickness with water or more cream if necessary.
- Sprinkle in fresh parsley, stir, and serve hot over pasta or rice.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half and half or coconut milk. Feel free to experiment with spices and herbs.
