Ingredients

  • 1 large Cucumber
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Dill (chopped)
  • 8 slices Bread (white, whole grain, or gluten-free)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients and ensure cream cheese is at room temperature.
  2. Slice the cucumber thinly, about 1/8-inch thick.
  3. Mix cream cheese with fresh dill and a pinch of salt and pepper until smooth.
  4. Lay out the bread slices and cut off the crusts if desired.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture generously on each slice of bread.
  6. Layer cucumber slices over half of the bread slices.
  7. Top with the remaining slices of bread, cream cheese side down.
  8. Cut sandwiches into finger-sized pieces and serve immediately.

Notes

For a fresh touch, cover sandwiches with a damp paper towel until serving to keep them from drying out.
