Easy Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredients

  • 2⅓ cups all-purpose or bread flour (divided)

  • 1 packet instant yeast (2¼ tsp)

  • 2 tsp sugar

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (+ extra for brushing)

  • ¾ cup warm water


Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk 1 cup flour with yeast, sugar, salt, and garlic powder.

  • Add olive oil and warm water, mix well. Stir in 1 more cup of flour until dough forms a soft ball. Use remaining ⅓ cup flour only if needed.

  • Oil a clean bowl generously, place dough in and turn to coat. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 30–60 mins.

  • Once doubled, punch down and knead for 1 minute on a floured surface.

  • Roll out into a circle, place on a pizza pan, poke with a fork, and brush with olive oil.

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Add sauce, cheese, and toppings. Bake for 12–15 mins or until golden and bubbly. Slice and enjoy!
