Description

These French Dip Sliders are mini sandwiches with major flavor. Featuring savory roast beef, melty provolone, caramelized onions, and a creamy horseradish spread on buttery Hawaiian rolls, they’re baked to golden perfection and served with a rich homemade jus for dunking. Perfect for parties or a cozy meal!

Ingredients

For the Sliders:
• 1 pkg King’s Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls (12-count)
• ¼ cup mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp cream-style horseradish
• ½ lb provolone or Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
• ½ lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
• ½ cup caramelized onions
• 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
• 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
• ½ tsp onion powder
• ¼ tsp garlic powder
• ½ tbsp chopped fresh parsley (plus extra for garnish)

For the Jus (Dipping Sauce):
• 2 cups beef broth or stock
• 2 tbsp unsalted butter
• 1 garlic clove, minced
• 1½ tbsp all-purpose flour (optional, for thicker jus)
• 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1–2 tsp Better Than Bouillon Roasted Beef Base (as needed)
• 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ¼ tsp dried)
• Kosher salt & black pepper to taste (about ¼ tsp pepper)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Slice rolls in half horizontally and place bottom halves in a baking dish.

Mix mayo and horseradish; spread onto cut sides of rolls.

Layer cheese, roast beef, and caramelized onions. Top with roll tops.

In a bowl, combine melted butter, Worcestershire, onion powder, garlic powder, and parsley. Brush over rolls.

Cover with foil and bake 15 minutes; uncover and bake 5 more until golden.

For the Jus:

In a saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic. Stir in flour (if using) and cook 1 minute.

Whisk in broth, Worcestershire, beef base, and thyme. Simmer 5–10 minutes until slightly thickened. Season to taste.
