Description
This dish takes me back to those cozy family dinners where everything smelled like love and butter. In under 30 minutes, you get golden potatoes and juicy steak bites seared to perfection—all in one pan. It’s hearty, simple, and tastes like something you’d order at a steakhouse. Make it once and it’ll become part of your regular rotation!
Ingredients
¼ cup ghee or butter, divided
1 tbsp olive oil
1 lb Yukon gold potatoes, cut into ½-inch cubes
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp dried thyme
½ tsp dried oregano
½ tsp sea salt (plus more to taste)
¼ tsp ground black pepper (plus more to taste)
1 ¼ lb sirloin steak, cut into ½-inch cubes
Instructions
Heat 2 tbsp ghee or butter with olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add potatoes, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and tender. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining butter and steak bites to the same skillet. Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and tender.
Stir in garlic and cook for another minute.
Return potatoes to the pan, toss everything together, and season to taste.
