- 1 pound Asparagus
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 4 cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese, shredded
- Salt, to taste
- Black Pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Rinse the asparagus under cold water and pat them dry. Snap off the tough ends.
- Place the prepared asparagus on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle the minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Toss until coated.
- Spread the asparagus in a single layer and roast for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top.
- Return to the oven and roast for an additional 5-7 minutes, until tender and cheese is golden.
- Garnish with lemon zest before serving.
Notes
For extra melted cheese, consider adding mozzarella or fontina along with the Parmesan. You can also use green beans or broccoli as substitutes for asparagus.
