Ingredients

- 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin)
- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- Wooden or metal skewers
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro, chopped)
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak and Shrimp: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add steak cubes and shrimp, coating well. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Prepare Your Skewers: Soak wooden skewers for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Gather any veggies for skewering.
- Skewer the Ingredients: Thread steak and shrimp onto skewers, leaving space for even grilling. Add veggies if desired.
- Preheat Your Grill: Heat grill to 400-450°F (204-232°C).
- Grill the Skewers: Lightly oil grill grates and cook skewers for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and steak is cooked to preference.
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in minced garlic, and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add fresh herbs and season to taste.
- Brush and Serve: Remove skewers from grill and brush generously with garlic butter. Let rest before serving.
- Dive In: Serve on a platter, garnished with fresh herbs, lemon wedges, and additional garlic butter.
Notes
For a lighter option, replace butter with olive oil in the garlic butter.
