Simple, savory, and ready in 20 minutes, this no-fuss dish is the ultimate comfort meal. Browned ground beef is smothered in a rich, homemade gravy using pantry staples—perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles for a fast, cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef

1 small onion, finely diced (optional)

2 tbsp flour

2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp butter or oil

Instructions

In a large skillet, heat butter or oil over medium heat.

Add onion (if using) and sauté until soft.

Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Sprinkle flour over the beef and stir for 1 minute to coat.

Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring.

Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Simmer 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until gravy thickens.
