Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Toss in the diced onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent, then add minced garlic.
  3. Increase the heat and add the ground beef, breaking it up and cooking until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle in the salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, stirring to combine.
  5. Add the broccoli florets, stirring to coat them in the juices, and steam with a splash of chicken broth if desired.
  6. Melt the shredded cheddar cheese over the skillet, covering with a lid until melted.
  7. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
