Midnight M&M Halloween Cookies : Spooky, Chewy & Irresistibly Fun!

Description

These buttery, chewy cookies are packed with Halloween M&M’s, spooky sprinkles, and candy eyes that “peek” out from every bite. With crisp edges, soft centers, and a little magic from melted white chocolate and toffee bits, they’re frightfully good and perfect for sharing… or hoarding!


Ingredients

4 ½ cups (560g) all-purpose flour

2 tsp cornstarch (optional, for extra softness)

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 ½ cups (340g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

2 cups (400g) packed light brown sugar

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs, room temperature

2 egg yolks, room temperature

4 tsp pure vanilla extract

2 cups Halloween M&M’s (or sub red/blue from regular mix)

½ cup Halloween sprinkles with candy eyes

¼ cup white chocolate chips (my twist)

¼ cup toffee bits (my twist)


Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In another bowl, whisk melted butter with brown and granulated sugars until smooth.

Add eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla. Mix well.

Gradually stir in dry ingredients until a dough forms.

Fold in M&M’s, sprinkles, candy eyes, white chocolate chips, and toffee bits.

Chill dough for 30–60 minutes (optional, but improves flavor).

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Scoop dough into balls (about 2 tbsp each) and space 2 inches apart.

Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft. Cool on tray for 5 mins before transferring.
