Instructions

- Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

- Add the eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the sour cream: Add the sour cream to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.

- Add walnuts (if using): Gently fold in the crushed walnuts.
