Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz Linguine or Spaghetti
- 1 lb Large Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup White Wine (optional)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 cup Fresh Parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a boil. Add your linguine (or spaghetti) and cook until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Toss in the shrimp, season, and cook until pink. Remove shrimp from skillet.
- Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add remaining butter, pour in wine, and simmer. Lower the heat, stir in the cream.
- Blend it All Together: Add Parmesan cheese to the sauce and stir until melted. Toss cooked pasta and shrimp back in, mixing well.
- Garnish and Serve: Top with chopped parsley and serve hot with extra Parmesan on the side.
Notes
For added freshness, squeeze lemon juice over the dish before serving. Consider adding red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
