4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried basil (optional)
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening, optional)
Cooked rice or steamed veggies for serving
Green onions or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Place chicken in the slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, and basil.
Pour sauce over the chicken.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
For a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water, add during the last 30 minutes.
Serve over rice and garnish with green onions or sesame seeds.
