Description

This comforting classic takes me back to chilly evenings when the slow cooker filled the house with the irresistible aroma of cheesy potatoes and smoky sausage. It’s a no-fuss, all-flavor dish that brings everyone to the table, hungry and happy.

Ingredients

Scale

1 (32 oz) bag frozen hash browns or fresh diced potatoes

14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced

1 small onion, diced

2½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

½ cup sour cream

1 tsp Creole seasoning (or your favorite blend)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine potatoes, sausage, onion, 2 cups of cheese, soup, sour cream, and seasonings.

Load the Slow Cooker: Pour mixture into a greased slow cooker.

Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours until potatoes are tender.

Top & Melt: Sprinkle remaining cheese on top in the last 15 minutes, cover until melted.

Serve warm with a side salad or steamed veggies for a full meal.

Notes

Cozy, cheesy, and made for sharing—this casserole is the kind of meal that feels like home in every bite.
