Instructions

  1. Prep your potatoes: Start by peeling and chopping the russet potatoes into equal-sized chunks. This ensures they cook evenly.
  2. Boil: Place them in a pot with cold water and a pinch of salt, bring to a boil, and cook for 15-20 minutes until fork-tender.
  3. Cook the tater tots according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown, about 20-25 minutes in a preheated oven.
  4. Smash the cooked tater tots in a bowl with a fork or masher to create rustic chunks.
  5. Mix the boiled potatoes with smashed tater tots, onion, celery, and herbs in a large mixing bowl.
