Ingredients
For the Bread:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
⅔ cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
⅓ cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Apple Filling:
1½ cups chopped apples (peeled)
2 tbsp brown sugar
½ tsp cinnamon
For the Glaze:
½ cup powdered sugar
1–2 tbsp milk
¼ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Prep Apples
Toss chopped apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Make the Batter
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
Stir in vanilla and milk. In a separate bowl, whisk dry ingredients together and gradually mix into the wet.
Layer & Swirl
Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan. Spoon half the apple mixture over it. Add the remaining batter, then top with the rest of the apples. Gently swirl with a knife.
Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
Glaze It
Mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over cooled loaf and enjoy!
