- 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- Salt
- 8 ounces Fresh Ahi Tuna
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 to 2 tablespoons Sriracha
- 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- 2 Green Onions
- Furikake Seasoning (optional)
- Avocado Oil (for frying)
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions.
- Mix the seasoning by combining rice vinegar, sugar, and salt.
- Fold the seasoning into the cooked rice gently.
- Form seasoned rice into small rectangles or squares.
- Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the rice cakes until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
- Dice the Ahi tuna and mix with mayo, sriracha, sesame oil, and green onions.
- Transfer the crispy rice cakes to a platter and top with the spicy tuna mixture.
- Sprinkle with furikake seasoning and sliced green onions before serving.
