Description

Delicious, flaky pinwheels filled with spinach and feta, perfect for parties or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 8 oz crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 package puff pastry or tortilla wraps
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh spinach, crumbled feta, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Spread the filling evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border. Roll it up tightly and slice into 1-inch pinwheels.
  5. Transfer the pinwheels to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Whisk the egg and brush it over each pinwheel.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.

Notes

Feel free to use tortillas for a quicker version instead of puff pastry. Leftover filling can be used as a spread for bread or crackers.
