Spooky Mummy Brownies

  • Author: Emily Walker
  • Total Time: 1 hour 20 minutes
  • Yield: 24 1x

Description

These Mummy Brownies are rising from the oven—doubled in size and twice as fun! Rich, chocolatey, and covered in white chocolate “bandages,” these treats are perfect for Halloween parties. With crunchy candy eyes and a few wicked twists, they’re as playful as they are irresistible.

Ingredients

Scale

2 boxes brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as listed on the box)

1 tsp vanilla extract (adds a flavor boost)

1 tsp instant espresso powder (intensifies chocolate—optional)

¾ cup white chocolate chips (for drizzling)

2430 candy eyes

Optional: mini chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or toffee bits for added texture

Optional: a pinch of sea salt for contrast

Instructions

Preheat oven according to the brownie mix instructions. Grease a 9×13 pan (or two 8×8 pans).

Prepare both boxes of brownie mix in a large bowl. Stir in vanilla and espresso powder. Add mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts if using.

Bake according to package directions, checking doneness with a toothpick. Let cool completely.

Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.

Use a piping bag or spoon to drizzle the white chocolate over brownies in zigzag lines to mimic mummy bandages.

While chocolate is still warm, press in candy eyes randomly or in pairs.

Chill briefly to set the chocolate, then cut into 24 squares or rectangles.
