Ingredients
4 cups corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
3 tbsp unsalted butter
¼ cup heavy cream
½ cup whole milk
1 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley (optional garnish)
Instructions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
Add milk and cream, whisking until smooth and slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
Stir in corn, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar (if using), salt, and pepper.
Simmer for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until corn is tender and sauce is creamy.
Add Parmesan, stir until melted and incorporated.
Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
