Ingredients

1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots

1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

1 small onion, diced

1½ cups pizza sauce

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

½ cup sliced pepperoni

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional toppings: olives, bell peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños


Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in pizza sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer the tater tots evenly.

Pour the meat sauce over the tots and spread evenly.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top, then add pepperoni and any desired toppings.

Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and tots are golden.

Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
