- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or cubed
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (white or cremini)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded cheese (preferably cheddar)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the mushrooms in olive oil over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until browned.
- Combine the cooked chicken and frozen peas with the sautéed mushrooms.
- Create the creamy sauce by whisking together heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the creamy mixture to the chicken and mushroom mix, stirring gently.
- Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes covered, and then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
Notes
Garnish with fresh herbs before serving and pair it with a side salad for a balanced meal.
