Description

A delicious twist on the classic turkey sandwich, this Bagel Turkey Melt combines gooey cheese, savory turkey, and a perfectly toasted bagel for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 Bagels (your favorite flavor)
  • 6 slices Turkey (deli or leftover roasted turkey)
  • 4 slices Cheese (Swiss, provolone, cheddar, or gouda)
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (or olive oil for a healthier option)
  • 1 Avocado (optional, for a creamy element)
  • Spices and herbs (garlic powder, Italian seasoning, fresh herbs)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients on the counter.
  2. Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  3. Prepare the bagels by slicing them in half and buttering the cut sides.
  4. Layer one half of the bagel in the skillet, buttered side down, and top with turkey slices.
  5. Add cheese on top of the turkey.
  6. Cover with the other half of the bagel, buttered side up, and press down gently.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
  8. Optional: Mash avocado with salt and lime juice and spread it on the sandwich before serving.
  9. Cut in half and serve with chips or salad.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with different toppings or alternate proteins like roasted veggies for a vegetarian option.
