Description

- 2 cups Elbow Macaroni
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 4 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Milk
- 3 cups Tater Tots
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 2 Green Onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water and add elbow macaroni, cooking until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a skillet over medium heat, combine milk and cream cheese, stirring until melted. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Add the Cheddar: Gradually stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
- Combine Pasta and Cheese: Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce.
- Top with BBQ Sauce: Drizzle BBQ sauce over the mixture.
- Arrange Tater Tots: Place tater tots on top of the mac and cheese.
- Bake to Perfection: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 15-20 minutes until tots are golden and everything is bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Cool for a few minutes, garnish with green onions, and enjoy!
Notes
For an extra crispy finish, switch to broil for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. Feel free to mix in extra cheese varieties for added flavor.
