- 8 strips of Bacon (thick-cut recommended)
- 1 cup Lettuce (Iceberg, Romaine, or Spinach)
- 2 medium Tomatoes (ripe, such as Heirloom or Beefsteak)
- Mayonnaise (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
- Optional Add-ins: Avocado slices or Cheese (like cheddar or pepper jack)
Instructions
- Prepare the Bacon: In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook your bacon until it’s crispy—about 4-6 minutes per side.
- Toast the Bread: While the bacon is cooking, toast your bread slices in a toaster or in the oven for 5-7 minutes at 350°F.
- Prepare the Veggies: Wash and dry the lettuce leaves and slice your tomatoes about 1/4 inch thick, seasoning them with salt and pepper.
- Assemble the Sandwich: On the bottom slice of toasted bread, spread mayonnaise, layer bacon, followed by lettuce and tomatoes, and top with another slice of bread. Repeat.
- Slice and Serve: Slice each sandwich in half diagonally and serve immediately while the bacon is warm and crispy.
