- 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 1 cup buffalo sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 box cornbread mix (plus ingredients called for on the package)
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions (plus more for garnish)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prep the chicken mixture: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, sour cream, shredded cheese, and garlic powder. Mix well.
- Prepare the cornbread: In another bowl, prepare the cornbread mix according to the package instructions.
- Layer it up: In a greased pie dish, pour half of your cornbread batter to create the base layer. Spoon the buffalo chicken mixture on top, then pour the remaining cornbread batter over the chicken mixture.
- Bake to perfection: Place the pie in your preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it rest: Once out of the oven, let the pie cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Garnish with extra chopped green onions and a drizzle of ranch or blue cheese.
