- 4 ounces Fresh Mozzarella, sliced
- 2 Ripe Tomatoes, sliced
- 1/4 cup Fresh Basil leaves
- 4 slices Crusty Bread (ciabatta or sourdough)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- Balsamic Glaze (optional)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Slice the fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and tear the basil leaves.
- Choose your bread: Slice the crusty bread to your desired thickness.
- Assemble the sandwich by layering fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and basil on one slice of bread.
- Close the sandwich with another slice of bread, olive oil-side out, and press down gently.
- Grill in a preheated skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Rest for a minute, slice in half, and enjoy!
Notes
For a twist, try adding pesto or sliced jalapeños for extra flavor.
