Description

A deliciously simple sandwich that combines fresh mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and aromatic basil, all grilled to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 ounces Fresh Mozzarella, sliced
  • 2 Ripe Tomatoes, sliced
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil leaves
  • 4 slices Crusty Bread (ciabatta or sourdough)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • Balsamic Glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Slice the fresh mozzarella, ripe tomatoes, and tear the basil leaves.
  2. Choose your bread: Slice the crusty bread to your desired thickness.
  3. Assemble the sandwich by layering fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and basil on one slice of bread.
  4. Close the sandwich with another slice of bread, olive oil-side out, and press down gently.
  5. Grill in a preheated skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip the sandwich and grill the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  7. Rest for a minute, slice in half, and enjoy!

Notes

For a twist, try adding pesto or sliced jalapeños for extra flavor.
