A cozy and comforting dessert made from leftover bread soaked in a creamy custard, topped with rich caramel sauce.
Ingredients

- 6 cups Bread, cubed (any type, stale works best)
- 4 large Eggs
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Caramel Sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cube the bread into bite-sized pieces.
- Prepare the custard mixture in a large bowl by whisking together eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla.
- Combine the bread with the custard mixture, folding gently.
- Assemble in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layering with caramel sauce.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve warm with extra caramel sauce and ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
For an extra crispy top, place under the broiler for a minute at the end of baking.
