Crispy potato wedges loaded with seasoned beef, sautéed onions, and melted cheese, creating a delicious twist on the classic cheesesteak.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium Potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
  • 1 lb Thinly Sliced Beef (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 Onion (yellow preferred)
  • 1 Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 cup Cheese (Provolone or Cheddar)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the potatoes by scrubbing them and slicing into wedges, about 1/2-inch thick.
  3. Toss the wedges with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, coating evenly.
  4. Bake the wedges in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil and thinly sliced beef, sautéing for about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Add onions and green peppers to the skillet, cooking for another 3-4 minutes until tender.
  7. Sprinkle the beef and vegetable mixture over the wedges and top with cheese, returning to the oven for 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Broil for an additional 2 minutes if you want a crispy layer.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding smoked paprika to the seasoning. Serve with ranch or barbecue sauce for added zing.
