Description

Delightful bites of spinach and cheese wrapped in flaky pastry, perfect for parties or snacks.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets, thawed
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Sauté the onions and garlic in olive oil for 3-4 minutes until translucent, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Prepare the spinach by cooking fresh or thawed frozen spinach until wilted.
  4. Combine the onion, spinach, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and egg in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 3-inch circles.
  6. Fill each circle with a tablespoon of the spinach and cheese mixture.
  7. Seal the pastry by folding over and crimping the edges.
  8. Bake on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

These puffs can be made ahead and frozen uncooked. Bake directly from frozen when ready to enjoy.
