Ingredients

  • Lasagna noodles
  • Ground beef or Italian sausage
  • Fresh minced garlic
  • Marinara sauce
  • Ricotta cheese
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • Unsalted butter
  • Fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles: Boil salted water and cook lasagna noodles until al dente. Drain and toss with olive oil.
  2. Brown the meat: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add ground beef or sausage, and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic: Sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the sauce: Pour marinara sauce into the skillet and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Layer in the cheese: Mix ricotta cheese with salt and pepper, layer noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella in the skillet.
  6. Make the garlic butter: Melt butter with garlic and parsley, drizzle over assembled skillet.
  7. Cover and cook: Lower heat, cover, and cook for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted. Uncover for browning, if desired.
