Description

A delicious Greek-inspired dish featuring spiced ground beef, fresh vegetables, and creamy tzatziki sauce wrapped in warm pita bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread
  • 1 cup Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 large Cucumber, diced
  • 2 cups Lettuce, shredded
  • ½ cup Feta Cheese, crumbled (optional)
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt (for tzatziki)
  • 1 small Cucumber, grated and drained (for tzatziki)
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • 1 tbsp Dill, chopped (for tzatziki)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (for tzatziki)
  • Salt, to taste (for tzatziki)

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions in olive oil until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
  3. Throw in the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Sprinkle in cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, stirring to combine.
  5. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, dill, lemon juice, and salt for tzatziki.
  6. Warm pita bread briefly.
  7. Spread tzatziki inside the pita, then add beef mixture, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, and feta.
  8. Wrap the pita and enjoy!

Notes

These wraps can also be prepped ahead for meal prep. Adjust spices to taste.
