- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup protein powder
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup pistachios, chopped
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp rose water
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the phyllo dough by unfolding it and covering with a damp cloth.
- Brush one phyllo sheet with melted butter, layer another sheet on top, and repeat the brushing.
- Cut the layered dough into squares and press them into a muffin tin.
- Bake the phyllo cups for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix together cream cheese, protein powder, confectioners sugar, milk, honey, and rose water until smooth.
- Fill the cooled phyllo cups with the creamy filling.
- Sprinkle chopped pistachios and drizzle with honey or dust with confectioners sugar before serving.
Notes
These kunafa cups are best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for a few hours before serving. Bring to room temperature before enjoying.
