Instructions
- Mix the Egg Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Prep the Bread: Cut bread into strips, about 1 to 1.5 inches wide and 4 to 6 inches long.
- Heat the Pan: Set a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add unsalted butter.
- Soak the Bread: Dip bread strips in the egg mixture for 10-15 seconds on each side.
- Cook the Sticks: Place soaked bread sticks in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- Dust with Sugar: Remove from skillet, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mix while still warm.
- Serve: Plate and serve warm with maple syrup, berries, or whipped cream.
Notes
For a vegan option, replace eggs with flax eggs. Feel free to experiment with different types of bread and toppings.
