Description

A comforting breakfast bowl filled with creamy rolled oats, crunchy walnuts, and tangy cranberries.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water or milk
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced banana, fresh berries, or a dollop of yogurt

Instructions

  1. Bring the liquid to a boil: Start by pouring 2 cups of water or your milk of choice into a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Let it reach a rolling boil.
  2. Stir in the oats and salt: Once your liquid is bubbling, add in the cup of rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Stir it well to combine.
  3. Simmer to perfection: Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring every minute.
  4. Add the cranberries and walnuts: When the oats are nearly cooked, stir in the dried cranberries, chopped walnuts, and cinnamon. Simmer for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Sweeten it up: Remove from heat and drizzle in the honey or maple syrup. Mix well.
  6. Serve it up!: Spoon the oatmeal into bowls and add your desired toppings.

Notes

Oatmeal is best enjoyed warm. Customize toppings based on your preference.
