Description

Delicious, creamy cups made with black sesame seeds and silken tofu, packed with plant-based protein and flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black Sesame Seeds
  • 1 cup Silken Tofu
  • 1/3 cup Maple Syrup
  • ½ cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tablespoon Agar-Agar or Gelatin
  • Pinch of Sea Salt
  • Optional Toppings: Fresh fruit, extra black sesame seeds, or chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Black Sesames: Toast the black sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Blend the Base: Combine toasted black sesame seeds, silken tofu, maple syrup, coconut milk, and vanilla extract in a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Bloom the Thickener: If using agar-agar, dissolve it in ½ cup of warm water; if using gelatin, sprinkle it over ¼ cup of cold water and let it swell.
  4. Combine and Blend Again: Add the bloomed thickening agent to the blend and mix until silky.
  5. Taste Test the mixture and adjust sweetness if necessary.
  6. Fill Your Cups: Pour the mixture into cups or molds, filling them about three-quarters full.
  7. Chill Time: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  8. Serve and Garnish: Remove from molds and top with fruit, extra sesame seeds, or nuts.

Notes

These cups can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to a week.
