Description

A delightful sweet and nutty twist on classic banana bread, infused with maple syrup and crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  4. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla until just combined.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and fold it in gently. Then add the flour and fold until incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chopped pecans and drizzle in the maple syrup.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until the center is set.
  8. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Enjoy warm with butter, or spread cream cheese for an indulgent treat. It can also be toasted for added crunch.
