- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese (sharp cheddar recommended)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
- 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts (Pecans or Walnuts, optional)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Start by washing and slicing your apples into thin wedges.
- Sauté the apples: Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat, toss in the apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender.
- Assemble the quesadilla: Wipe the skillet clean, place a tortilla in it, sprinkle with cheese, add apples, and top with more cheese.
- Fold and cook: Fold the tortilla over and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Slice and serve: Remove from the skillet, let cool slightly, then slice into wedges.
